Painting has been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. From my earliest days I felt the need to draw, to observe and to imagine the world through pictures. Over more than twenty years of work, thousands of drawings and paintings have come out of that, and through them I have gradually developed my own relationship with the figure, with light, with space and with visual storytelling.
I received my formal training at the “Petar Lubarda” secondary school of fine arts, and then spent almost a decade working in concept design. That experience taught me to see a painting not merely as a depiction but as a complete visual world — with its own atmosphere, character and story.

Today I devote myself to painting again, entirely. What draws me most is figurative art and the chance a painting gives to keep something that would otherwise pass: someone’s gaze, a presence, a bond, a memory, or a particular moment in time.
It means a great deal to me when a painting becomes part of someone’s home. A work of art then stops being merely an object on a wall. It can hold a memory, stand for a loved one, recall a certain time, or simply bring character and warmth into a room. That bond between art, people and space is one of the reasons I paint.
I believe a good work should do more than fill a wall. It should belong to it, and gain in meaning as the years pass.
